Glamping is all the rage this summer, and now you can come and do it here in Narborough. At The Buddhist House we have been re-vamping our outdoor space to create a new accommodation unit. Having done some re-roofing earlier in the year, this summer we had a new wooden floor put in the cabin in the garden and it has been generally refurbished and refurnished to provide those who would like to use it for personal retreats, courses or other events with an indulgent night or two close to nature.
The space has a comfortable double bed and living space. You can curl up with a book and make yourself a late night drink and sleep soundly till woken by the dawn chorus or an early morning squirrel. There is electricity for heat and light and the hut is equipped with a kettle and lots of snacks, drinks and other goodies. You will have to come indoors to use the shower, but this is a small price to pay for the spaciousness of the sleeping space.
The cabin can be booked for one person or a couple. Rates are the same as for a single room for one person, and an extra £10 a day for the meals for the second person if you want to stay there as a couple. All bedding, toiletries and towels provided.
Of course, if you prefer a wilder experience of nature, there are still plenty of opportunities at Tariki. Whilst our cabin is definitely for softies, if you are looking for the hard stuff, you can join us for our ecotherapy intensive, wild camping in the woods in Wales in August.
